Orofacial Pain
Bruxism
Clenching and grinding can cause wear on your teeth as well as contribute to sensitive, sore teeth throughout your mouth — it can even cause headaches and muscle soreness in your head and neck. Draver Dental can work with you to manage symptoms and create a night guard or other necessary treatments for decreased pain and a positive outcome.
TMJ & TMD
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects your jaw to your skull. If you have temporomandibular disorder (TMD), you may develop symptoms such as difficulty chewing, pain in your face, head, neck, and muscles, and clicking and locking of the joint. These symptoms can be difficult to manage, but Dr. Draver has the experience and additional specialized training to help you treat and manage symptoms. She works closely with physical therapists and is the only orofacial pain specialist in the state to coordinate treatment such as trigger point injections to get patients out of pain.
Night Guards
Occlusal guards are custom night guards fabricated over two appointments to custom-fit your mouth. Night guards are very important in the successful treatment of bruxism and in TMD. Guards help protect your teeth from damaging forces typically from clenching overnight, and reduce tooth fracture, wear, and damage to restorations.
